The Alpha Sigma Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. was founded on the campus of The University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1996 by Bro. Louvin Sands, Bro. Norah Caves, Bro. Evan Liston, Bro. Jerome Coleman, Bro. David Hawthorne and Bro. Darius McKay. The chapter was later re-chartered in 2006 by Bro. Donald Jones, Bro. Reggious Bell and Bro. Jeremy Lawson. The chapter is one of four NPHC organizations on UAH Campus. The chapter is very engaged on campus and in the community Which it vows to serve. From creating unique events like “Fried Chicken Wednesday” and hosting “Sleep out for the Homeless” the Alpha Sigma Alpha chapter has strived to serve the needs of the Community and campus alike. The alumni brothers that have Graduated from the chapter also boast Bachelors and Masters Degrees, with jobs ranging from Graphic Design to Engineering. This year the chapter is celebrating its 10th year since the re-charter While looking forward to the next 10.
